    The Storehouse of World Vision

    Providing Essentials, Affirming Dignity
The Storehouse of World Vision provides building materials, clothes, toys, household goods, and school supplies to strengthen families, schools, and neighborhoods. In 2004, The Storehouse programs nationwide worked with over 3,000 World Vision partners to serve more than 1.5 million people with nearly $32 million in new donated goods and merchandise.

    Building Materials
Millions of American children live in unsafe or inadequate housing. The Storehouse of World Vision helps change this by providing donated products and materials to local groups and individuals that rehabilitate or create affordable housing for families.

Since 1995, The Storehouse has provided nearly $17 million worth of construction supplies and building materials to communities in need, thanks to hundreds of corporate partners like Kohler, Masco Corporation, The Great Indoors, Grohe, Sears, Elkay, Delta, Simonton, Kwal Paint, Custom Building Products, Purdy, Home Depot, Armstrong Cabinets, and DeSitters Carpet.

    Personal Items
Thanks to generous corporate donors, we are able to collect donations of new personal items--including clothing, toiletries, and blankets--and distribute them to ministry partners and nonprofit organizations in Chicago that share the items with individuals in need.
